Belinda is currently undertaking a Doctorate in Clinical Practice (Research) at the University of Exeter, UK, focusing on research in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy. Belinda has completed her Master of Counselling at Monash University, Australia. In addition to her formal education, she was also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Gottman Method Couples Therapy and the Schema Therapy. She is an associate Neuro-Linguistic Programming practitioner (ABNLP) and completed an accredited Professional Life Coach Certification & Guide Program. Belinda is currently a Wellness Consultant at The Lion Mind, a nonprofit organisation that raises mental health awareness across the region.

Prior to psychotherapy and counselling work, Belinda accumulated over a decade of valuable experience in the banking and finance industry, working with institutions such as HSBC Private Bank, Bank of Singapore, and Credit Suisse. This background not only equips her with a deep understanding of corporate stress and anxiety but also enables her to empathise with the challenges of adjusting to different cities, having lived in Singapore, Hong Kong, and London. Aside of counselling work, Belinda has been conducting workshops for corporates and startups, delivering talks to school audiences, and engaging in various awareness campaigns through podcasts, panel discussions, and article writing for media and publications.

Belinda has a particular interest in supporting people who are struggling with family and relationship issues. She provides counselling, psychotherapy and life & career coaching to individual adults, adolescents, couples and families on various issues including but not limited to anxiety, trauma / PTSD, depression, grief, anger, behavioural issues, negative thoughts, self esteem issues, stress, life and career transitions, identity issues, relationship and family issues. Belinda's therapeutic approach is characterised by an integration of person-centered and psychodynamic methodologies. She has a profound interest in helping clients explore their inner selves by looking into their childhood, upbringing and past experiences. She believes that understanding these foundational aspects is crucial in shaping one's identity and current life circumstances.
Aside of professional life, Belinda cherishes her roles as a pet parent to a lovable dog and a mother to a delightful young infant. Embracing her love for adventure, she finds solace in embarking on road trips amidst nature, exploring different corners of the world. She is fluent in English and Cantonese, conversational in Mandarin.
Belinda is a registered level 3 Practitioner with The Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore (Membership# A0280) and a Full Member at The Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (Membership# M1753).
