Monika has completed her Masters of Guidance and Counselling from James Cook University. Working with young adults from different nationalities afforded her the chance to broaden her insight into diverse cultures and backgrounds, offering valuable experience and knowledge.

Monika offers comprehensive couple counselling services, assisting clients who are navigating through significant challenges in their relationships/marriage. These challenges may include issues related to communication, trust, recurring conflicts, feelings of disconnection, financial crisis, major life transitions, and parenting. She provides a tailored approach to address these specific concerns, guiding couples in rebuilding communication and strengthening their relationships. Monika is also certified as a clinical trauma specialist (individual) and has assisted clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, anger management and self-harm tendencies. Demonstrating proficiency in guiding individuals through transitional challenges, she facilitates personal growth and self-improvement journeys, empowering them to reach their fullest potential. Utilizing a compassionate and client-centered approach, Monika customizes her counselling services to meet the unique needs and circumstances of each individual, fostering healing, growth and resilience.

Prior to joining counselling services, Monika worked in the aviation and e-commerce industries, affording her the opportunity to travel extensively and gain invaluable insights into various cultures. As a mother of two children, Monika possesses first-hand experience and understanding of teenage parenting challenges. Committed to self-growth and learning, she pursued a Master in Business Administration and an Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment while caring for her first child. Monika is a firm believer in giving back to society and has been actively volunteering in community service since 2018 as a grassroots leader.

In her counselling practice, Monika utilizes a compassionate and client-centered approach that based on clients' needs, drawing from Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, mindfulness exercises and Emotion-Focused Therapy. Her focus is to provide a confidential and secure environment to assist clients throughout their journey, guiding each individual toward their desired destination in life. Monika is a Provisional Clinical Member with the Singapore Association for Counselling (#D0949).
